Dr. Kevin B. Taylor is a native of Quincy, Florida. He is the proud and privileged son of Bernard (deceased) and Mary Taylor. He is a dedicated family man. God smiled on him and blessed him with a wonderful wife, the lovely Leona. They are the proud parents of Joshua, Jere, Jarnae, Jaylin, and Jhordyn and one grandchild, Janiyah.
After graduating with honors from the Gadsden County Public School, he continued his academic matriculation at Florida State University earning a B.S. Degree in Biochemistry. He graduated first in his class in 2006 with a Masters of Divinity Degree at Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology - Virginia Union University with a 2.985/3.00 GPA Scale.
He was conferred with his Doctor of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary with his concentration in “Sermon-Based Small Groups in the Black Church” under the mentorship of Dr. William Houston Curtis and Dr. Gina Stewart. He has received many academic awards such as a Harry Hoiser Scholar and a Virginia Nelson Scholar to name a few.
Pastor Taylor has been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ since July 7, 1996 and has been in full time pastoral ministry since April 2000. God has provided him with great ministry contexts and opportunities during his vocational calling.

Currently, he serves as the lead pastor of Springdale Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. He is nationally renowned as a preacher, exemplary leader and equipper, and a trendsetter with cutting edge ministry paradigm shifts. He is the author of “Help Killers”. Also, he dedicates a lot of his time to community outreach and missions in Haiti.
When Pastor Taylor is not entrenched in ministry or academics, he enjoys reading, cycling, golfing and traveling as well as serving and enjoying fellowship through his fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi.
