Dr. Kevin B. Taylor
Dr. Kevin B. Taylor is a native of Quincy, Florida. He is the proud and privileged son of Bernard (deceased) and Mary Taylor. He is a dedicated family man. God smiled on him and blessed him with a wonderful wife, the lovely Leona. They are the proud parents of Joshua, Exavier, Kyenila, Jaylin, and Jhordyn. They have one grandchild, Janiyah.
Dr. Taylor believes that education is the great equalizer. Hence, his academic matriculation through some of our nation’s most prestigious and historic educational institutions. He earned the following degrees with academic honors:
· Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry: Florida State University
· Master of Divinity: Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology-Virginia Union University
· Doctor of Ministry (Sermon Based Discipleship): United Theological Seminary
Currently, Dr. Taylor is pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Leadership with a Human Resource concentration at Anderson University College of Business. He has received many academic awards such as Dean’s List, Harry Hoiser Scholar, and Virginia Nelson scholar to name a few.
Dr. Taylor preached his initial sermon on July 7, 1996. After working four years as a research and development scientist, he was called into full time pastoral ministry in April 2000. He has faithfully served the church and kingdom of God in several capacities. Currently, he serves as the lead pastor of Springdale Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee.
He is nationally renowned as a preacher, exemplary leader and equipper, and a trendsetter with cutting edge ministry paradigm shifts. He is a certified dean through Division of Christian Education under National Baptist Convention. Dr. Taylor has served as an instructor at the district and state levels. Also, he has held many leadership positions at the district and state levels. He serves on several boards such as Asbury Theological Seminary (Memphis location), and Memphis Mental Health Institute to name a few.
He is the author of “Help Killers”. Also, he dedicates a lot of his time to community outreach and missions in Haiti, Belize, and Kenya through World Vision. When Dr. Taylor is not entrenched in ministry or academics, he enjoys reading, cycling, golfing, traveling, and enjoying local restaurants. He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi and Society of Human Resource Management.
